1st Wallington Scout Group

1st Wallington Scout Band was formed in March 2001 with a mix of experienced musicians and complete beginners. On 22nd March 2002 the band passed the official Scout Association Band Inspection.

The band has performed at many different functions, St Georges' Day Parades, Carshalton and Beddington Carnivals, Remembrance Day Parades, District AGMs, and twice in the London New Years Day Parade.

Following the merger of the Carshalton and Wallington and Sutton and Cheam Scout Districts into the Sutton District the band updated its name to 1st Wallington (Sutton District) Scout Band.

The band at ist 2005 Scout Association Annual Inspection was upgraded to a category 'C' status.
